What is Education USA?

The US department of State’s Educational Information and Resources Branch (ECA/A/S) supports a network of more than 450 EducationUSA advising centers which promote US higher education around the world.

The Instituto Hondureño de Cultura Interamericana (IHCI) is the official host of the EducationUSA Advising Center in Tegucigalpa, which is a certified EducationUSA center, and affiliated to the United States Department of State. We are the only source of such information in Tegucigalpa, and the Office is open to the general public at no charge, the main purpose of our center is to help the students take full advantage of opportunities to study abroad.

The EducationUSA Advising Center conducts such activities, as orientation meeting for high school students and also hosts college fair whereby representatives from recognized American universities come to IHCI for a day.

The EducationUSA Advising Center also assists the US Embassy in the application process for the Fulbright / LASPAU Program offered by the government of the United States.
